What We Collect

Career Vault collects information you provide directly: your name, email address, and the career history you enter into your vault (employers, roles, accomplishments, skills, credentials, education, and community involvement).

How We Store Your Data

Your career data is stored securely in a Convex database. Authentication is handled by Clerk, a third-party identity provider. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

Third-Party Services

Career Vault uses the following third-party services:

• Clerk for authentication and account management
• Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered career history import (when you choose to use the import feature)

We do not share your career data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party beyond what is required to operate the service.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can delete your account at any time, which triggers a cascade deletion of all your career data from our systems. This deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

No Data Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or career data to anyone. Your vault is yours.
